Twitter launched Periscope, a live video streaming app in March 2015. This app allows you to broadcast live video from your devices like smartphone or tablet. When at the time of app launch, it is available only for iOS devices.

It can be downloaded from Google Play store for free. In case of live streaming, it will notify the followers to send hearts and comment on it in real time.
Features
Broadcast on Twitter
Before broadcasting, you can click on bird icon to share your Periscope Broadcasts. When you go live, you will tweet the link on twitter so that the followers can watch the live video on web.
Video can be replayed
When the live video broadcast is over, it can be made available for the viewers to watch later. Replay option exists only for 24 Hrs but you can delete the replay at any time.
Private Security
A video can be broadcast to a particular person or people. While going on live, click on lock icon and choose the specific person or people to invite to your broadcast video.
You can manage notifications
Notifications can be managed in Periscope settings. Based on your twitter account Periscope allows the users to follow. You can follow the the new people or unfollow the people, if you do not want to notify them when you are live.
Hearts
Periscope allows the users or viewers to give hearts for the live video provided by you. You can be get in to the most loved list, if you gets more hearts.
