Tata Sons has got approval from RBI to buy NTT Docomo's Stake in Tala Teleservises Ltd. for Rs. 7,250 Crores.
In July 2014, NTT Docomo plans to exit TTSL and given an option to buy its stake in TTSL for 50 percent of acquired price, or fair market value, whichever is higher.
Unable to find a buyer, Tata Sons decided to buy and applied to RBI in November to purchase NTT Docomo's Stake for half of the price paid by Docomo in 2009.

In January2014, NTT Docomo filed a case against Tata Sons due to delay in Commitment made between them. Tata Sons said that "it made necessary application to RBI for purchase of NTT Docomo's share and awaiting for RBI's response."
